Our Mission......

Our mission is to reduce over all hind population, in particular older hinds, within our Central North Island Sika herd. At the same time letting our velvet stags live through the spring and feed up for the coming Roar Period. The Sika Foundation have been doing amazing work in researching and implementing this herd management strategy and it’s now time for us as hunters to do our part! See below for more information.

At the same time there is another massive benefit of hind hunting in the spring, venison! We believe there needs to be more value placed on such a wonderful resource. From the back country to the plate, Sika venison is arguably the best in the country and such a great way to feed the family. We want to see every part of this amazing resource being used to the fullest.
